1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Velora ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Velora is an AI-powered companion application that allows users to interact with virtual characters through text and voice conversations. The App uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and is intended for entertainment and emotional companionship purposes.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years of age to use Velora. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Accounts

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to exploit, harm, or reverse-engineer the AI system
Create companion profiles that promote violence, hatred, or illegal activities
Share or distribute content generated by the App in ways that violate others' rights
Use the App to generate content depicting or involving minors in any inappropriate context
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure

6. AI-Generated Content

You acknowledge that:

All companion responses are generated by artificial intelligence and are fictional.
AI companions are not real people and do not have genuine emotions, opinions, or consciousness.
AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unexpected. We continuously work to improve content quality and safety.
You should not rely on AI companions for medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

7. User-Created Content

When you create custom companions or other content:

You retain ownership of the creative elements you provide (names, backstories, personality descriptions).
You grant Velora a non-exclusive license to use, store, and process this content to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with these Terms and applicable laws.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7.1 Public Publishing & Distribution License

If you choose to publish a companion as "Public" (making it available for other users to discover and interact with):

You grant Velora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, distribute, promote, and make available your published companion to other users of the platform.
This license remains in effect for as long as the companion is publicly listed. You may delist (unpublish) your companion at any time, which will revoke this distribution license going forward. However, users who have already added your companion may continue to use their existing copy.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant this license and that your published content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.
Velora may feature, recommend, or promote publicly published companions at its discretion, including in curated collections, marketing materials, and app listings.
Companions set to "Private" are never shared or distributed to other users.

8. Subscriptions & Purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchases.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID settings.
Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.

9. Intellectual Property

Velora, including its design, code, official companion characters, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of data, or loss of profits.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
